Pile Driving for the Car Berth – SPP, SPSP & Test Pile
The pile driving work for the SPP and SPP test piles was carried out using a suitable piling barge equipped with a powerful Juntan HHK 16-20 SB hammer.
The piles used were steel pipe piles with a diameter of 1000 mm and a length of 45 meters. A total of 114 piles were driven within a short execution period.
For the SPSP pile driving, a 450-ton capacity crane barge was utilized, along with an SVR 50 vibro hammer and an HHP 14 hydraulic hammer.
The SPSP piles were 1000 mm diameter steel pipe sheet piles with a length of 25 meters, featuring a “C” type interlocking system. A total of 304 SPSP units were installed using effective and efficient piling methods.
