Fuel Jetty Upgrade without Shutdown at Nilam, East Java

The owner, PT AKR Corporindo, contracted PT SWI Jetty to upgrade its fuel jetty at Nilam, East Java.  At the time, the jetty was operational but unsafe and dysfunctional.  Using the design provided by owner as guidance, we devised a good method to improve and strengthen the jetty structurally without operational shutdown.  The construction started in August 2014 and finished in May 2015.  The old platform was superseded by a new platform above.  New dolphins were built to complement the existing ones.  The jetty is now capable for berthing of 13,000-DWT vessel.
